Drawing Beth in a similar style...

Following on from the silhouette style vector drawings of Clare and Olly I decided to have a go at doing a similar technique but with different materials. So firstly I roughly collaged a background in my sketchbook from poster paint and brown paper. I then used a brush and ink to create Beth's hair and used a fine liner to add some more detail. Beth has two nose piercings so I felt it would be relevant to draw in her nose and draw in the piercings as they are something that could distinguish the drawing as her. I made the decision on adding Beth's eye(lashes) because I felt like something was somewhat missing. I'm really glad I did because I do feel there is now a strong likeness of Beth.
