Experimenting with some different media I wanted to have a go at looking at similar designs to what I was already drawing in fine liners and ink and trying them with different kinds of paint/collaging. So this one I made a collaged background from different kinds of brown paper. I then coated it with some white oil paint using a pallet knife. This made it have quite a nice rough appareance. I then painting the design on using gouche. I really like how this came out, as the oil paint takes longer to try it meant that the gouache mixed with that paint whist I was painting it making it different shades of the same colour.
