These images above are from Bjorks album "Vespertine". I really like how photography and drawing have been fused together. It really inspired me to take portrait photos and see how my vector drawings would work over the top. I really like the top one where the overlaying drawing is in white. Stands out dramatically against the face.
This was the first experiment I did. I took a simple style portrait of my friend Jess and used one of the vector drawings I did. For some reason I felt it worked better in black and white. I like how the design has sort of framed the face; almost like a mask.
This one I had a go at seeing what one would look like not in black and white and the vector not being white. I tried to make it looks like the designs are actually on the hand. Which I felt didn't really look as good, and also I didn't feel it was particularly necassary as I could get a simlar effect just painting the designs onto the hand.
